If you’re going to have bad luck, you might as well get it all over in one big write-off of a day.

This was back in the days when I was at Uni, and one one singular day, literally everything that could go wrong did go wrong

The night before the ‘Worst Day Of My Life’ I had set the alarm for 7.30 am as I had an important lecture that I couldn’t miss at 9 am in the morning, and the deadline for an assignment to be handed in was at 1 pm.

I woke up, checked the clock and it was 10 am. What??? The alarm hadn’t gone off and I’d missed the lecture. When I checked I’d accidentally set the alarm for 10 pm instead of 10 am.

FFS!

My friend who I lived with dropped a letter up to me that had arrived from my friend back home, which as always was lovely as student houses didn’t have telephones in those days. All correspondence outside of our bubble took place by mail. I usually loved hearing from my friends back home, but this time not so much. It was bad news as she was writing to tell me her lovely sister had taken ill and was in hospital. Oh, that’s not good. This news made me sad.

FFS!
