I worked in the fire service for 15 years and ultimately had to leave due to the misogyny I faced as did many of the women. The BAME men were fully accepted and are there enjoying a full career, promotions and ultimately a full pension. The women are often forced out and have to take less well paid jobs.. White priviledge means nothing in some careers when you are female. You are often bottom of the pile.
