I was shocked when someone I thought was a really good friend dropped out when I stopped drinking. You're definately right there. Fortunately the rest remained and are happy to come to non boozy events with me. Its been even better because the events get more diverse and exciting when alcohol is not involved.

I was lucky that I found a local vibrant fun sober group really early on in my sobriety journey. They made it fun for me plus a load of built in mentors within the group.
